Job Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, have a strong desire to build knowledge with regard to manufacturing accounting and have the ability to research and troubleshoot. The position will involve general accounting support, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end/year-end journal entries.

Duties:

Record miscellaneous cash transactions in the General Ledger as needed. · Ability to create and post routine monthly journal entries. · Prior experience with reconciling bank accounts with high-level transactions. · Reconcile the Accounts Receivables Sub-ledger to the General Ledger Weekly. · Actively engage in cash collections with professional interaction with customers. · Help with answering customer service calls and filing as needed. • Cross-Train to Support Payroll

Job Requirements:

Associate degree in accounting and/or Related Bachelor’s Degree · At least 1 year experience with Microsoft Excel and large data set· · Proven knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Prior experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliations is strongly preferred. • Effective time management · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and excellent follow-up abilities. · Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. · An excellent team player.
